How did everyone do with the walkout today? I have to admit I forgot the date because I woke up to a nightmare scenario with my web server, but I do all this from my desk at home so there's nowhere to walk out of anyway.

My intention was to make it a no spend day, which also isn't hard for me on a tight budget but after my nightmare got resolved I thought of treating myself to lunch and decided not to. Only now that I thought of it did I realize today was the day. 🤣

I know Friday the 23rd is a day that Minnesota picked for itself and many across the US are participating in solidarity. If you had seen both dates floating around and been confused, that's why. It is a full day of no work, no shop, no spend.

Did anyone walk out today and how did that go? Are you planning on participating on Friday? I know it doesn't seem like much, a day is a blip on their balance sheets, but flexing our solidarity is a strength-building exercise that can lead to major action.

I know how scary things seem right now, it's getting in my head a little bit too, but remember they do not have the firepower to do what they're pretending they'll do. They're trying to *look* scary for the cameras, it's a psy op.

Yes, they can hurt us in small numbers. But they can not and will never be able to conquer the US by force. We still have to figure out how to stop them, but they will not win.
